About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Roving Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch Network. This front-line role supports multiple branch locations within an assigned geography, building customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with appropriate banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates across locations to provide a consistent customer experience. It requires a strong service mindset, sound judgment, flexibility, and teamwork in changing branch environments. The position provides exposure to a large financial institution and a foundation for long-term career growth, supported by Wells Fargo training and coaching. The position requires travel throughout the assigned geography and a schedule that includes Saturdays. The employee will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
Ability to travel 100% of the time within the assigned geography and commute to assigned branch locations for the duration of assignments.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized banking support across multiple branches in an assigned geographic area, covering banker and teller absences and temporarily filling open positions as needed.
Adapt to different branch environments, teams, and customer needs while maintaining service quality and adherence to bank standards.
Build customer relationships through proactive, meaningful conversations that support financial well-being and engagement.
Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect customers with relevant products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Coordinate with branch teammates to provide seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Follow applicable risk programs, policies, and procedures; fulfill risk and compliance obligations; and escalate and remediate issues as appropriate.
