Routing & Compliance Specialist
About The Position
Our client in Watsonville, California, is seeking a remote Routing & Compliance Specialist to join their team! This is an onsite/full-time/ 2-3 month contract position Hourly rate based on experience: Up to $25/HR Position Summary We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Routing & Compliance Specialist to support a critical SAP implementation and help ensure customer shipments are accurate, compliant, and ready to move without disruption during the go-live process. This is a hands-on, short-term opportunity focused on customer shipping requirements, order accuracy, routing guides, labels, and documentation. The successful candidate will carefully review customer-specific instructions and verify that orders meet all applicable requirements before shipment. This individual will work closely with the warehouse and shipping teams to identify potential issues, document requirements, and help ensure a smooth transition through the SAP go-live.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
- Comfortable reviewing detailed written instructions and customer requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable working with PDFs, images, labels, and shipping documents.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse/operations environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with customer routing compliance.
- Experience working with retailer or customer-specific shipping requirements.
- Experience creating or reviewing shipping labels.
- Familiarity with GS1-128 labeling.
- Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, order management, or supply chain.
- Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
- Experience supporting an ERP implementation or go-live is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review customer routing guides, routing instructions, and shipping requirements.
- Review SAP orders and verify customer-specific shipping requirements before orders leave the facility.
- Create, review, and test customer-specific carton, pallet, and GS1-128 labels.
- Verify shipping labels, documentation, and order information for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify discrepancies or missing requirements before shipments are released.
- Work with Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, images, labels, and other shipping-related documentation.
- Organize and document customer-specific requirements and processes.
- Help translate routing and compliance requirements into clear instructions for the warehouse team.
- Support the warehouse and shipping teams during the SAP go-live transition.
- Communicate potential compliance or shipment issues to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving customer-specific shipping requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records throughout the implementation.
