Requirements

  • Two (2) years’ experience as a router operator plus one (1) years’ experience with numerical controlled systems.
  • OR Three (3) years’ experience as a Router and Shaper Operator at Bell Helicopter – Textron.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Nice To Haves

  • Drill motor, mechanics hand tools, all types of routing equipment, a variety of templates, indicators, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate numerical controlled, computer numerical controlled, abrasive and tracing routers and other types of routing machines and equipment used to trim various materials to size.
  • Selects proper cutters and makes setups as necessary to position and hold materials for routing.
  • Must be capable of setting up and coordinating controls to detail parts through the use of cams, lines and numerical control data and be capable of adjusting hold required tolerances.
  • Must be capable of determining best utilization of material to minimize waste.
  • Checks parts against templates and blueprints.
  • May be required to do various burring operations and rough sizing of materials to be routed.
