About The Position

Join UniFirst as a Route Trainee (RT) and begin a career in service and customer care. This role provides hands-on training through blended learning programs, supporting daily operations and preparing you for a full-time Route Service Representative (RSR) position. You will assist with deliveries, service, and route coverage while learning multiple customer accounts. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license.
Clean driving record.
Reliable transportation.
Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including a physical exam.
High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
Comfortable using and learning new technologies.
Capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program designed to prepare you for a Route Service Representative (RSR) role.
Assist the service team by loading and unloading route trucks.
Transport clean garments and products to customers and return soiled items.
Provide route coverage during RSR absences, managing established routes.
Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes, delivering exceptional service and prioritizing safety.
Work across both indoor and outdoor environments that require energy, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Contribute to the success of the Service Department by delivering outstanding service and building customer relationships.
