Cleans and maintains bus shelters, bus benches, or other bus stop furniture on presorted routes. The route specialist will install advertising posters, following paper and/or electronic work order instructions. Expected to use basic janitorial cleaning equipment and small hand tools and other necessary equipment and chemicals to clean and contain vandalism and general damage to bus stop amenities. Drive a company issued vehicle, normally a small to full size pickup truck. Safe and proper driving must be practiced at all times, following all on-the-road laws of the City and State. The ability to navigate in heavy traffic, both freeway and surface streets, is necessary. Must clean bus stops and amenities to maintain a safe, sanitary, and pleasant appearance. Work with janitorial equipment such as brooms, shovels, buckets, window cleaning brushes and squeegees, hand and cordless power tools, such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers. Installs paper and plastic substrate advertisement materials that hang in bus shelter ad kiosks. The ad doors are both hydraulically lifted and manually propped open. Posting work orders are completed on a handheld device provided by the customer. The device is a ruggedized version of a cellphone. Basic understanding of a small device keyboard and simple instructions is necessary. Wear appropriate safety equipment and follows established safety practices and procedures. Utilize computerized Asset Management System (Kloudgin/Workforce) forms and mobile device reports to receive, report problems on route, and complete work orders. Communicates with other route specialists, supervisors, managers, and administrative staff.
