Requirements

  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Demonstrable and proven team building skills with the ability to lead as a collaborative leader.
  • Successful candidates will have a Class 3E Driver’s Licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills are mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Schedule routes; create and modify collection maps and areas.
  • Hold regular meetings with your staff for morning start-ups.
  • Attend all accidents and property damage incidents, fill out accident investigation reports and issue progressive discipline when required.
  • Enter daily productivity statistics and discuss results with drivers as well as record and time keeping.
  • Ensuring the timely collection of residential curbside materials.
  • Effective team building, while encouraging excellent customer service.
  • Lead and act as the primary line of communication and contact with various levels of Municipal staff members.
  • Provide coaching and training for drivers failing to meet minimum service agreement.
  • Demonstrate compassion and understanding of employee needs and build positive relations.
  • Ensure safety and operational standards are being met.
  • Other duties and projects as required.
