About The Position

The Route Supervisor for the Distribution Department is responsible for training, evaluating, motivating, and supervising route sales drivers as they deliver dairy products to customers. This role oversees all routes within the assigned Branch.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively through multiple channels – oral, written, visual, and non-verbal – ensuring our messages are understood and delivered appropriately, whether in-person or digitally.
  • Take responsibility for actions and anticipate challenges before they arise. Solve problems both within and outside of departments, proactively addressing issues as they occur.
  • Prioritize understanding and meeting both internal and external customer needs. Ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty by anticipating customer requirements and striving for exceptional service.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50-60 pounds.
  • Must be able to frequently walk, stand, stoop, bend, reach, climb, and pull.
  • Must be able to frequently lift milk case weighing up to 55 lbs. and push/pull stacks of milk weighing 250-300 lbs. using provided equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of route sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and on-the-job training for all new route sales drivers in every aspect of the role.
  • Evaluate the performance of existing route sales drivers to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, punctuality, appearance, and a positive attitude toward both the company and its customers.
  • Maintain a high level of familiarity with all assigned routes, customers, and service requirements.
  • Stay informed of company programs, policies, and product updates to effectively communicate changes to staff.
  • Provide coverage and administrative notifications during periods of absence, including illness, vacation, or personal leave.
  • Assist in other branches as needed to support business continuity and team success.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
