About The Position

GENDA Americas, a leading amusement vending service with over 55,000 machines nationwide, is seeking a passionate and independent merchandiser. As a Retail Merchandiser, you will be responsible for maintaining amusement machines across various locations. This role involves driving a company vehicle, cleaning machines, merchandising products, collecting cash and coin, troubleshooting machine issues, maintaining security of assets, building relationships with location staff, and detailed record keeping. Overnight travel is required 1-2 times per month. Occasional support for installing and removing equipment may also be needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
  • Strong general mathematical skills.
  • Efficient at managing a workload with minimal supervision.
  • Cell phone and basic computer skills required, including ability to text, email, and use a variety of apps on your company iPhone.
  • Solid organization skills in managing paperwork, tools, parts, etc.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment motor vehicle record check, criminal background check and 4 panel drug screen.
  • Regular, reliable attendance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic machine repair.
  • Japanese language skills strongly preferred for communication with Japanese-speaking leadership and support of initiatives like Route AI, product testing, and merchandising analysis programs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a company vehicle to several locations on a designated route each day.
  • Clean amusement machines inside and out, including cranes, gumball machines, and video games.
  • Merchandise product in machines to ensure visual appeal and playability, accurately counting pieces for playability.
  • Collect cash, coin, and tokens from machines and prepare daily deposits.
  • Troubleshoot and fix machine issues, utilizing Tech Support as needed.
  • Account for the security of all money, machines, and merchandise on the route.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with locations and staff.
  • Maintain detailed records of all meters.
  • Perform overnight travel 1-2 times per month during the week.
  • Occasionally support other Field staff with installing and removing equipment from locations.
