The Route Sales Trainee (RST) is training to learn the required skills to be a successful Route Sales Representative (RSR) or Route Delivery Driver (RDD). In training, the RST will learn the sorting, inventorying, building, loading, and delivering and merchandising daily orders of products to retail customers. The RST is learning how to accurately invoice products at the time of delivery to retail customers by meeting customer expectations and following established best practices. Position will require RST to train and service accounts during customer designated service windows, which may require RST to work non-traditional business hours, weekends, or holidays. Potential for overnight travel outside of normally assigned location. Position requires an incumbent with an eagerness to gain industry knowledge and to learn the skills necessary for success. Position interacts with the general public and customers on a daily basis. A neat, professional appearance is a requirement of this position and may require a specific uniform. The Company is registered with the Department of Transportation (DOT) as a private motor carrier and as such is subject to State and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations. RSTs will be required to safely and efficiently operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) – a vehicle used to deliver products in the stream of interstate commerce exceeding a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 10,000 lbs. RSTs deliver to retail stores at assigned times each day and complete service within the expected duration. The RST may be required to work non-traditional business hours, weekends, or holidays.
