About The Position

The Route Sales Representative supports the Service Departments in meeting customer needs through excellent customer service, up-selling, cross-selling, and referrals to the Sales Department. The position reports to the District Manager and has an hourly base pay of $25.00. The role serves customers on assigned routes, follows service procedures, maintains account records and inventory, handles payments and account changes, and works with service, sales, and operations teams as a relief driver. It also involves driving, vehicle inspections, loading and unloading products, and meeting the role’s physical and safety requirements.

Requirements

Have and maintain a valid driver’s license; CDL when applicable.
Be 21 years or older.
Maintain a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety, or other violations.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and be able to comprehend and follow directions.
Have two years of relevant experience in sales, customer service, delivery, or public-facing work.
Accurately recognize colors and sizes.
Be able to stoop, pull, push, reach overhead, lift up to 75 lbs., and move loaded carts up to 500 lbs.

Responsibilities

Prospect and engage new customers on assigned routes and refer qualified leads to the Sales Department.
Provide outstanding customer service and build customer loyalty and strong relationships.
Communicate with decision-makers and proactively resolve service concerns.
Follow Service SOPs for installations, deliveries, and account management.
Maintain accurate inventories, route books, and customer files.
Handle customer payments, credits, and change orders accurately.
Monitor accounts and report customer feedback or competitive activity.
Upsell services, promote products, and refer leads to Sales Consultants.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain truck cleanliness.
Load and unload products and move carts weighing up to 500 lbs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and dress code.
Collaborate with service, sales, and operations teams as a reliable relief driver.
Support other service team members where required.
