Route Sales Representative (Mobile Sales Rep)
About The Position
Promote and support the high-quality Red Wing brand image through professional selling, building loyalty and long-lasting relationships with customers. This is achieved by promoting the Red Wing Shoe Company’s Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX), selling premium products, and providing conscientious customer service. The role involves conducting routine maintenance for a mobile unit, preparing and loading stock, maintaining product knowledge, and adhering to mobile operations SOPs. The representative will also manage mobile operating expenses, guide customers through the Ultimate Fit Experience, provide accessory recommendations, handle special orders, and collaborate with the industrial team for truck run planning.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent work experience required).
- One to three years relevant experience/training.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to provide the highest level of customer service.
- Strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Team and collaboration orientation.
- Effective Written/Verbal Communication.
- Computer proficiency.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to pass and stay compliant with DOT requirements, which includes a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Must be 21 years old to meet DOT requirements.

- Footwear selling experience from a mobile unit.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance schedules for the mobile unit through an approved maintenance facility.
- Perform and maintain daily logbooks, travel tracking, and mobile unit inspections as described by the Department of Transportation and Red Wing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Prepare, load, and unload stock for the mobile unit and warehouse.
- Maintain proficiency with product knowledge, technical, and operating standards through continuous learning.
- Adhere to all mobile operations as defined in each SOP.
- Manage mobile operating expenses, including inventory, cash, truck maintenance, travel, and other areas affecting profitability.
- Guide each customer through Red Wing Shoe Company’s Ultimate Fit Experience.
- Provide appropriate accessory recommendations and educate customers on their benefits.
- Ensure proper handling of special orders placed during the day’s truck run.
- Collaborate with the industrial team regarding planning and execution of the day’s truck runs.
- Uphold Red Wing Shoe Company’s core values.
- Maintain the integrity of the Mobile Shoe Showroom, truck signage, and housekeeping standards.
- Conduct self in accordance with RWSC policies.
- Identify current and future account requirements by establishing personal rapport with key contacts while onsite.
- Ensure product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
