Flowers Bakeries Sales of SoCal, LLC has an immediate opening for a high-performing Route Sales Representative (RSR) responsible for ordering, sales, and delivery of fresh baked products. This role requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships, managing delivery vehicles, and maximizing product shelf life. The RSR will use data and marketing plans to drive customer growth and satisfaction, requiring adaptability to work non-traditional business hours and service customer-designated windows. An eagerness to learn and the ability to work independently and as a team are key in this Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have had a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record.
  • Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines.
  • Must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding the operation of a CMV.
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience.
  • Delivery driver experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering, sales, and delivery of fresh baked products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Check delivery vehicle daily, keeping accurate records, reporting maintenance issues, and filling out daily logs.
  • Increase sales by expanding shelf space and creatively displaying in-store promotions and displays.
  • Maximize product shelf life by properly rotating products.
  • Use data and marketing plans to build relationships and drive customer growth through effective communication, planning, ordering, and execution.
  • Work with customers to increase sales and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Service accounts during the customer’s designated service windows and may need to work non-traditional business hours to complete deliveries.
  • Execute the best practices of RSR training.
