About The Position

Wise Snacks is seeking a Route Sales Representative. The primary purpose of this role is to represent the company in the field, selling and delivering products to ensure customers receive high-quality service. This role requires meeting deadlines and timely deliveries with the overall goal of increasing sales and profits. The representative will ensure execution standards are met in all stores, maximize space utilization to drive sales, and seek opportunities for incremental sales. They will also demonstrate the proper use of POS systems to boost sales, service stores according to their sales volume to prevent stockouts, and meet all sales goals. Additionally, the role involves generating new leads to solicit new business and expand the client base, managing inventory, placing orders, and driving products to their destinations. The objective is to ensure profitable growth, service stores effectively, grow routes to enable splitting and the creation of new routes for increased service and sales, and utilize discounts intelligently for customers and jobbers to maximize sales. The representative will also set up and manage routes to reduce costs through RTM (Route to Market) strategies, time management, and educating on good business practices.

Requirements

  • 2 years in DSD (Direct Store Delivery) sales experience
  • 1 year managerial experience (i.e. merchandisers)
  • Good numerical skills
  • Prior supermarket sales experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to get in and out of the vehicle on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

  • Prior food or salty snack industry experience
  • +3 years managerial experience
  • +5 years Customer Service Industry
  • +5 Years' experience with supermarket channel

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Executions Standards on all stores
  • Maximize the use of space to increase sales
