This role is for a high-performing Route Sales Representative responsible for ordering, sales, and delivery of fresh baked products. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong customer relationships, manage delivery vehicles, maintain accurate records, and maximize product shelf life. This position requires flexibility to work varying workdays and early morning start times, typically around 3:00 am, with days off on Wednesday and Sunday. The role involves increasing sales through expanded shelf space, creative in-store displays, and effective use of data and marketing plans. Adaptability to customer service windows and non-traditional business hours is essential. An eagerness to learn and the ability to work independently and as a team in a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) environment are key to success.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have had a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record.
  • Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines.
  • Must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding the operation of a CMV.
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering, sales, and delivery of fresh baked products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Check delivery vehicle daily, keeping accurate records, and reporting maintenance issues.
  • Fill out daily driver’s logs, time logs, and hours of service.
  • Increase sales by expanding shelf space and creatively displaying in-store promotions and displays.
  • Maximize product shelf life by properly rotating products.
  • Use data and marketing plans to build relationships and drive customer growth through effective communication, planning, ordering, and execution.
  • Work with customers to increase sales and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Service accounts during the customer’s designated service windows and work non-traditional business hours to complete deliveries.
  • Execute the best practices of RSR training.
