About The Position
The Route Sales & Delivery Driver is a local CDL Class B route representative who sells and delivers products, places orders, and merchandises products to ensure they are available on grocery store shelves. The position follows an assigned route and includes an early-morning start and mid-afternoon end, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Compensation combines base pay and commission.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
- Ability to meet medical certification requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment.
- Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements.
Nice To Haves
- DSD, grocery, retail sales, delivery, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Place orders and drive additional sales by gaining display space and promoting new products.
- Merchandise products, maintain display space, and rotate products.
- Unload products, place them in the back room, and collect proof of delivery.
- Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work.
- Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow DOT rules and regulations and perform daily truck inspections.
