About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Route Relief Driver to support product distribution and sales across store accounts. The role involves merchandising and stocking products, maintaining freshness through proper rotation, growing sales and shelf space, and building customer relationships. The driver also handles route settlement, inventory, documentation, and safe operation of a company route truck.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
Must be able to climb, push or pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and stock products on store shelves and displays, ensuring proper rotation and product freshness.
Secure new display space, set up incremental displays, and use sales data to inform store-level strategies.
Follow up on new account opportunities and build customer relationships while ensuring promotions are executed.
Introduce new products and services to increase sales and shelf space in existing accounts and with prospective customers.
Conduct daily route settlement procedures and account for products, invoices, cash, and inventory.
Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily DOT logs.
Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
