(Virginia Beach) Route Merchandising Associate
About The Position
Signature Retail Services is hiring a Route Merchandising Associate in the Virginia Beach market. This is a flexible part-time opportunity with approximately 30-35 hours per week, offering $17.00–$19.00 per hour. The role is suitable for those seeking supplemental income, work-life balance, or an active job. No prior experience is necessary as paid, hands-on training is provided. The associate will travel to stores like The Home Depot and Lowe's to merchandise products, build displays, execute planograms, support seasonal resets, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure stores are well-presented. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, enjoy working independently, and take pride in their work.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Live within approximately 30 minutes of the assigned territory.
- Proof of a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle to travel between assigned store locations throughout the route.
- Possess a smartphone with phone, text, email, and internet access to support daily communication and reporting requirements.
- This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and ladder use, as well as the ability to regularly lift and move materials or products weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

- Previous merchandising experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Travel independently throughout an assigned territory using your personal vehicle to service designated store locations.
- Conduct store audits, execute product resets, merchandise products, and maintain planogram compliance.
- Install price labels, point-of-purchase materials, fixtures, and displays to enhance product visibility and presentation.
- Down-stock merchandise, maintain shelf conditions, and ensure products are fully stocked and customer-ready.
- Partner with store personnel to assess inventory levels, recommend replenishment needs, and place product orders as needed.
- Serve as a product expert by providing knowledgeable support to store associates and customers, answering questions, and sharing product information.
- Maintain a professional presence while representing both Signature Retail Services and our client partners in store.
