About The Position

All Temp Transport, Inc. is seeking experienced Route Drivers to deliver candy, tobacco, and grocery products to convenience store locations. Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of customer orders, placing products in customer-specified areas, and representing the customer service department professionally. The position is full-time, with a four-day Tuesday-to-Friday work week and home every night. Route dispatch times vary, generally between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.; start and end times are set by the Transportation Manager according to operational and business needs, and schedules may vary.

Requirements

Class A CDL required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
At least one year of previous delivery driving experience.
Must be at least 21 years old for interstate travel.
Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to read basic two- and three-syllable words, recognize differences between words and number sequences, and communicate using simple written and spoken sentences.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including calculations involving U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance.
Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle routine, standardized situations.
Ability to interact professionally with customers and clients.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Unload the truck and secure cargo for transit using blocks and rope.
Deliver customer orders to designated locations and place products in customer-specified areas.
Occasionally collect customer payments and accurately record transactions on the Delivery Manifest.
Record delivery details on daily Delivery Manifests.
Maintain daily truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Unload the truck at the end of each shift and place customer returns in the appropriate warehouse area.
Clean the truck interior and conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and fluids.
Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
Interact with customers professionally and courteously as a representative of the customer service department.
Occasionally pick up backhauled products from suppliers and deliver them to the McConnell warehouse.
Perform other duties as assigned.
