Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to obtain a DOT Card.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and plans delivery routes and delivers products to service customers.
Drives truck to deliver items such as beer, wine, liquor, and point of sale items to customers' places of business.
Collects returnable items and empty containers from businesses and transports them back to the distribution center.
Inspects loads, ensures proper packing and security to reduce product breakage and vehicle damage.
Conducts an inventory of truck contents, retrieves overages, and accounts for shortages.
Reviews truck contents to ensure correct loading.
Checks weight distribution and stability of the vehicle for safety.
Collects and coordinates payments from customers and records transactions.
Records delivery information using provided delivery records.
Listens to and resolves service complaints, resolving issues when possible.
Coordinates customer comments and service issues with transportation management.
Issues or obtains customer signatures on receipts for pickup or delivery.
Provides preventative maintenance and safety checks on their vehicle by conducting DOT regulated pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Proficient in the use of telematics devices, including delivery routes and driver logs.
Performs other duties as assigned by Transportation Management.
