About The Position

The Route Driver operates a company vehicle on an established route to deliver products or provide services, and fills and maintains vending and related equipment. The driver represents the company and is expected to maintain a professional, positive image while building and sustaining strong client and customer relationships. The position offers advancement opportunities and a foundation for entry-level management roles. The driver maintains inventory and product distribution for vending machines, cleans and sanitizes equipment, performs minor machine service and adjustments, and reports defective equipment for repair. Before each route, the driver loads the truck with the products needed for scheduled service. The role also involves communicating with customers about products and services, addressing complaints, setting up promotional displays, accounting for goods and sales-related documentation and cash, reconciling inventory, and keeping the vehicle clean and organized. Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safe, professional work practices are required. This is a full-time position based in Carrollton, Texas, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule; hours may vary. The fixed pay rate is $20.00 per hour. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available if the employee meets the stated six-month condition. Canteen driving roles may include commission eligibility. The position requires a valid driver's license and three years of driving experience.

Requirements

At least three years of driving experience.
A valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license, unless otherwise indicated by state, and the ability to safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
Ability to operate, or willingness to learn to operate, material handling equipment such as a box truck and handcarts.
Ability to work independently, take responsibility for a route, and work unsupervised for 98% of the workday.

Nice To Haves

Preferred one to two years of customer service experience, or at least one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain appropriate inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines.
Provide client and customer satisfaction in all aspects of job performance.
Understand company policies and administer them as needed.
Clean and sanitize vending machines and related equipment routinely.
Perform minor service and adjustments on machines, and report defective equipment to the designated maintenance repair service operator or technician dispatcher.
Load the truck before each route with the products required to service scheduled machines, following operational procedures.
Inform clients and customers about new products or services, and listen to and resolve service complaints.
Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or provide customers with promotional materials.
Account for receipts of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and product.
Reconcile inventory in accordance with district procedures.
Keep the company vehicle clean and organized, and complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Perform all job functions safely and professionally.
Perform other duties as assigned.
