About The Position

Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a Route Driver in the Clinton, IA area. This route delivery position earns competitive pay, Class A CDL $30.42/Class B CDL $29.26 plus OT. As a Route Driver, you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations. Our customers range in size from small-scale butchers, grocers, and restaurants up to large-scale slaughterhouses and food processors. Driving a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, you collect materials from multiple customers along your route each day. You manage your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and also keep an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes. Taking responsibility for your truck, you keep it clean and complete a vehicle condition report on a daily basis. You provide exceptional professional service to all customers and follow all laws and regulations. You love that you get to hit the road for a living, while still being home every night!

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Authorized to work in the US.
Valid Class A or Class B CDL license.
Good driving record.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Tanker endorsement preferred.
Two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting.
Experience with truck hydraulics.

Responsibilities
