About The Position
This is a full-time position where the Route Driver will be responsible for loading food, supplies, or other products and delivering them to various locations within a designated area. The role involves ensuring the vehicle is properly loaded, delivering products to scheduled locations, unloading requested items, collecting returns, and following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and good driving record
- A valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to carry out duties of the position
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver all supplies to the scheduled locations
- Ensure that truck/vehicle is properly loaded with all products required to properly service all scheduled deliveries prior to beginning each day’s route
- Unload requested products at delivery site
- Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise
- Return items such as unused food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment
- Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; perform pre & post trip vehicle inspections
- Perform other duties as assigned
