About The Position

Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a Route Driver in the Tulsa, OK area. This route delivery position earns competitive pay, depending on experience, starting at up to $23.26 per hour plus OT. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Customer service skills
  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organized with superior time management skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work well with others

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting
  • Experience with truck hydraulics

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and transporting raw materials from our broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations.
  • Driving a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, collecting materials from multiple customers along your route each day.
  • Managing your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and keeping an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes.
  • Keeping your truck clean and completing a vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
  • Providing exceptional professional service to all customers and following all laws and regulations.
  • Being home every night.
