Under the supervision of operations leadership, the Route Sales Driver ensures professional and courteous representation of The ICEE Company. Customer service is a priority, with a commitment to success for customers, partners, and peers. Route Sales Drivers are expected to build strong relationships with store personnel, focus on in-store merchandising and POS (point of sale), deliver products, complete and rotate account inventory, process invoices, clean machines, and replace promotional materials. They work with minimal supervision and attend weekly meetings. The role is provided with a vehicle, uniforms, cell phone, tablet, and gas card.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 21 years of age due to DOT requirements.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. or more on a regular basis. Occasional lifting in excess of 70 lbs. required.
  • Ability to Drive more than 40% of the time.
  • Must have and wear steel-toed shoes.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years Customer Service and/or Route Driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Loading/unloading the company vehicle to ensure inventory for delivery is prepared for the daily route.
  • Completing inventory counts at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Completing scheduled deliveries and ensuring prompt delivery of products and promotional items.
  • Discussing new products and promotions with store personnel.
  • Ensuring proper training of ICEE equipment is provided to unfamiliar store personnel.
  • Cleaning machines, replenishing stock of cups/lids/straws, and freshening promotional materials.
  • Documenting store-provided PO # on invoices at necessary accounts.
  • Handling COD (cash on demand) accounts, including receiving payment and obtaining money orders for the Service Center manager.
  • Performing weekly vehicle checks and completing DVIR (daily vehicle inspection report) for DOT vehicles.
  • Performing general warehouse duties such as cleaning, organizing, rotating product, and shipping/receiving equipment, parts, and product.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
