About The Position

This position requires experienced drivers who can function as part of a team as well as effectively function independently. The role involves the safe and timely delivery of assigned loads to final destinations. The company provides a fun and positive environment for its staff. The job requires driving in all types of weather, and the noise level is usually moderate to loud. The ideal candidate will have a valid Texas driver's license, the ability to operate a delivery vehicle in various weather and traffic conditions, and be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and in the elements. Excellent organizational and time management skills are necessary, along with the ability to use pallet jacks, carts, and dollies. The role involves lifting and carrying heavy items, climbing ladders, and having a flexible schedule. The candidate must be able to dolly merchandise over 100 lbs, work in a fast-paced setting, and provide great customer service.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain a Motor Vehicle Report from your license state of issuance.
  • Must obtain a Texas driver's license to maintain eligibility to drive on behalf of Spec's per the insurance company.
  • Must obtain a Texas license within 90 days of residing in the state.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals without the aid of calculator or abacus.

  • Commercial driving experience is highly desirable, including knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
  • Experience in moving or courier services is beneficial.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
