About The Position

As a Route Driver for Darling Ingredients, you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our customers that include small family farms, larger hog confinements, locker plants, and restaurants up to large-scale slaughterhouses and food processors bring the raw materials back to our facility in Blue Earth, MN. The work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, with Wednesday as a clean-up day or for other tasks. The flexible start time is 6:00 am, with work hours per day ranging from 10 to 11 hours.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.
Valid Class B driver's license.
Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Nice To Haves

Class A driver's license preferred.
Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment.
Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Responsibilities

Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location.
Maintains an Electronic DOT log.
Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules.
Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
Completes all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
All other duties as assigned by management
