Route Driver
About The Position
The Bulk Water Delivery Driver safely and efficiently delivers bulk water to residential, commercial, industrial, and construction sites. The role involves operating a bulk water truck with a gooseneck trailer, making timely deliveries, maintaining equipment, following safety standards, and working effectively in varied conditions. Drivers are expected to provide professional customer service and comply with transportation regulations and customer-site requirements. Work involves local driving with frequent stops at customer locations and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Early morning starts, overtime, weekends, or extended shifts may be required. Compensation is $19.00–$21.00 per hour. This location is independently owned and operated; applications and hiring decisions are handled by the local owner and management.
Requirements
- Gooseneck trailer towing and hauling experience.
- Experience hooking up, filling, and connecting water tanks and hoses.
- Basic plumbing experience, including water lines, fittings, valves, and connections.
- Knowledge of load securement, vehicle inspections, and DOT regulations.
- Ability to travel long distances, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bulk water truck and make timely deliveries.
- Load, transport, and unload water at assigned locations.
- Inspect and maintain the truck, hoses, pumps, and other equipment.
- Keep accurate delivery records and follow assigned routes.
- Follow DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Report vehicle issues and maintain clean, reliable equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and supervisors.
