About The Position

A Route Driver is responsible for the operation of a truck to collect fabrication material from meat processors, slaughter facilities, and grocery stores, and used cooking oil from restaurants to our location in Kansas City, KS. This role offers a work-life balance environment with local runs and the benefit of being home daily. There are opportunities for dedicated routes servicing our customers' needs. The position guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime paid after 8 hours worked per day.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.
Must possess a valid Class A driver's license.
Must have a tanker endorsement.
Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Nice To Haves

Prior route experience within a customer-oriented environment.
Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Responsibilities

Operates a truck to collect fabrication material from meat processors, slaughter facilities, and grocery stores, and used cooking oil from restaurants.
Collects and inspects products at the time of pick up for any foreign material at the customer location.
Maintains an Electronic DOT log.
Responsible for operating the vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state, and local regulations.
Conducts pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Observes company policy, procedures, and safety rules.
Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
Completes all company-required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
Attends all safety meetings and may be asked to serve on the Safety Committee.
Handles outside elements year-round.
