About The Position

This position is responsible for providing quality service and products to customers in a timely and professional manner. The role involves operating a company truck to deliver clean product and pick up soiled product from customer locations, loading and unloading trucks with laundry carts, and establishing professional relationships with customers. The driver must represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections, and following standard vehicle operating procedures are essential. Additionally, the Dock Support / Non-CDL Driver supports the daily transportation and distribution of healthcare linen, ensuring efficient dock operations and uninterrupted customer service. This role is approximately 50% dock support and 50% driving. Primary duties include loading and unloading delivery vehicles, preparing routes, scanning soil carts, completing emergency and after-hours deliveries, providing route coverage, assisting the Production Department, completing GeoTab inspections, maintaining transportation documentation, and ensuring vehicles are fueled and maintained. The position reports directly to the Transportation Manager and requires flexibility, accountability, and operational efficiency.

  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
  • Valid Class D driver’s license
  • Must have clean driving record per company policy
  • Have six months to one-year experience
  • Be available to drive nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
  • Be able to use repetitive arm motions

Responsibilities

  • Cross-train on other routes per department needs.
  • Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed.
