About The Position

This role is responsible for providing quality service and products to customers in a timely and professional manner. The Route Driver will operate a company truck to deliver clean product and pick up soiled product from customer locations, loading and unloading trucks with laundry carts. The position requires establishing professional relationships with customers, providing quality customer service, and representing the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections, and adherence to standard vehicle operating procedures are essential.

  • Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
  • Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
  • Valid Class D driver’s license
  • Must have clean driving record per company policy
  • Have six months to one-year experience
  • Be available to drive nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
  • Be able to use repetitive arm motions

Responsibilities

  • Operate company truck to deliver clean product to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Pick up soiled product from customer locations.
  • Load and unload the trucks with laundry carts.
  • Establish professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service.
  • Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations.
  • Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections.
  • Follow standard vehicle operating procedures.
  • Cross-train on other routes per department needs.
  • Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed.
