Route Driver CDL - Davenport, Iowa
About The Position
This position is responsible for providing quality service and products to customers in a timely and professional manner. The Route Driver will operate a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities, load and unload laundry carts, and establish professional relationships with customers. The role requires representing the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles with pre and post route inspections, maintaining DOT compliance, and following hours of service rules and standard vehicle operating procedures.
Requirements

- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
- Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
- Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
- Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
- Valid Class A driver’s license
- Must have clean driving record per company policy
- Have six months to one-year experience
- Be available to drive nights and weekends
- Ability to speak and read the English language
- Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
- Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
- Be able to use repetitive arm motions
Responsibilities
- Meet established route schedules
- Deliver the product to our customers in a timely manner
- Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
- Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
- Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
- Cross-train on other routes per department needs
- Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed
