About The Position

Join Casey’s in shaping a better future for our communities, guests, and team members as a Route Coordinator! In this role you'll be responsible for executing efficient and effective scheduling of deliveries of all freight within an assigned area.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Working knowledge of state motor vehicle laws.
At least one year of experience with transportation planning and procedures.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Possesses strong analytical skills.
Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
Ability to listen to issues/concerns and quickly respond to needs by notifying appropriate person and/or using Company procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Assist with the coordination and administration of the route bid process as directed by the Transportation Manager.
Determine delivery routes for the transportation of grocery products to stores.
Coordinate backhaul schedule with buyers and distribution center to ensure inbound deliveries coincide with outbound shipments. Monitor performance and expense.
Identify priorities, utilizes available resources to meet these priorities and enlists outside assistance to meet demand.
Assign relief/replacement drivers to scheduled routes and store sets.
Provide timely communication of critical events that need to be considered and/or addressed by Management.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.
