About The Position

The primary function of the Rounds Cook is to prepare high-quality food across various kitchen stations on a rotating schedule. The Rounds Cook is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of made-to-order food, as well as the preparation and plating of OAK Long Bar + Kitchen menu items in accordance with company specifications and function contracts. The Rounds Cook maintains consistent quality, presentation, and portion standards while supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen operation.

Requirements

• High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in the culinary field
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
• Must have knowledge of all types of cooking and techniques and able to identify and use herbs and spices.
• Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• In and out of refrigerators/ freezers with some frequency.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• Diploma/certification in a culinary discipline an asset
• Servesafe sanitation course preferred.
