Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school and graduation from a certified flying or aviation school.
  • Valid Air Transport Pilot’s Licence (ATPL) (Helicopter) issued by Transport Canada.
  • A minimum of 2000 hours of Rotary-wing flight experience.
  • A minimum of 500 hours of experience as a Pilot-In-Command (PIC) of a multi-engine aircraft.
  • 2 years of experience in Instrument Flight Operations.
  • Valid Group 4 Instrument Rating.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical.
  • Ability to successfully complete the Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application for Night Vision Goggle (NVG) purposes.
  • Valid Canadian Passport or ability to work in Canada and ability to travel to the USA.
  • A satisfactory criminal record search and Immunization records with required vaccinations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience flying multi-engine helicopters is desirable.
  • Experience using Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and flying for Emergency Medical Service (EMS) or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of aircraft operation.
  • Must be able to fly in varying conditions, handle pressure well, and be flexible and adaptable.
  • Provide flight support at bases other than the home base where demand arises.
  • Complete the company’s training program and successfully pass a Transport Canada PPC.
  • Follow all applicable policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist the Second-in-Command (SIC) with flight planning and aircraft preparation as directed by the Pilot-in-Command.
  • Carry out specific duties in connection with the operation of the aircraft assigned.
