About The Position

The Rotor Assembly and Repair Manufacturing Engineer will establish internal processes that safely ensures the production of high quality products that meet compliance and project requirements. Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by owning project timelines, improving cycle & cost, resolving technical/process issues, and drive lean initiatives throughout the cell. Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet EHS, production, quality, and cost savings goals within schedule and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
  • Minimum of 1.5 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead improvement efforts across the cell for visual management, tooling, plant equipment, and safety/ergonomic solutions
  • Manage projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics
  • Support execution of capital investments delivering desired outcomes on schedule & within budget
  • Provide technical leadership and support for training of assemblers across areas of expertise
  • Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent quality.
  • Work with cross-functional team to drive 5s, operational rigor/ rhythm / standard work, training plan, and ensure projects are prioritized to align with business needs
  • Drive improvements partnering with outside vendors to improve consumable cost
  • Develop assembly, fixture, and tooling strategies for new product introduction
  • Develop work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process control
  • Support product qualifications as needed
