About The Position
Wausau Tile is currently seeking a RotoForm Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and upkeep of semi-automated plastic molding equipment used to produce high-quality plastic site furniture and accessories. Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, detail-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret production paperwork, blueprints, and spec sheets.
- Comfortable with basic mechanical tasks, machine setup, and tool use.
- Skilled in the safe use of impact drivers, hand tools, and lifting equipment.

- Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review daily production schedules and job specifications.
- Select appropriate molds, tools, jigs, and materials.
- Secure molds to rotating machine arms using hand tools.
- Inspect and adjust molds as needed prior to production start-up.
- Operate the RotoForm machine through full molding cycles (heating, rotating, and cooling).
- Accurately measure and pour plastic powder or granules into molds.
- Secure mold closures using cordless or pneumatic tools.
- Monitor process timing and conditions to maintain product consistency and quality.
- Demold and inspect finished plastic components.
- Perform minor modifications or light assembly using hand or pneumatic tools.
- Cut excess plastic using a band saw and process scrap via pneumatic chipper for recycling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tool storage and supply restocking.
- Follow preventive maintenance protocols and report equipment issues promptly.
