About The Position

The Plant Management Site Support Services/Distribs (S3D) operates within WTCC’s Facility Management organization. The S3D Superintendent directs field work activities for an assigned craft within the S3D group, ensuring safe and environmentally compliant execution, quality and completeness of work, accurate performance reporting, and procedural compliance. The position also supports frontline worker development and mentoring, long-term planning, materials support, schedule updates, and labor relations. This is a rotating day-shift position with a schedule of four days on and four days off. It supports scaffolding work and other functions that may include materials movement, site maintenance, tool crib operations, and PAPR issuance. The position is located at the Waste Treatment Plant site, approximately 22 miles north of Richland. The superintendent may act as the Site Superintendent during off-shift hours and perform work as a Field Work Supervisor (FWS) for LOTO activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or another related discipline from an accredited university and two years of progressive supervision-related experience; alternatively, a high school diploma and four years of progressive supervision-related experience.
Relevant supervision experience may include DOE experience, construction, maintenance, work package preparation, system turnover, excavations and backfill, facilities support, commissioning, and testing.
Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without current or future Amentum visa sponsorship.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site and comply with site security requirements.
Must be willing and able to work a rotating schedule of four days on and four days off, day shift only.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience in scaffold erection methods, processes, and safety compliance.

Experience supervising building trades crafts.

Responsibilities

Develop work strategies and schedules, ensure materials are available, report progress, and resolve design and construction conflicts related to installation and testing of installed commodities.
Ensure compliance with applicable procedures, policies, and rules.
Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned work scope and personnel.
Coordinate work planning and impact evaluation with customers and other organizations.
Coordinate with Field Engineering and subcontractors to plan and support project schedules.
Review and support the development of work packages, excavation permits, confined space permits, LOTO documents, and other permits.
Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing safety and quality to protect workers, others, and the environment.
Act as the Site Superintendent during off-shift hours as part of emergency preparedness.
Perform work as a Field Work Supervisor (FWS) related to LOTO activities.
Attend cross-functional meetings, provide schedule status, and update organizations and customers.
Perform or supervise excavations, snow removal, concrete work, grounds maintenance, janitorial support, or other scopes as needed.
Perform other duties as required by S3D management.
