About The Position

The rotational quality program is designed to create meaningful experiences by working within different quality departments (i.e., operations, supplier quality, strategic quality) and Andersen facilities over a two-year period. The operations rotation will provide individuals the opportunity to provide quality leadership for value stream/ product lines including quality systems, data analysis, project prioritization and project management. The participant in this program will also gain an understanding in supplier quality, such as new component qualification. During the strategic quality rotation, the participant will work with members of new product development and commercialization teams, and suppliers through the commercialization process. The program provides mentorship and networking opportunities for members to help them grow professionally and personally by working on a board range of projects impacting a variety of different areas.

Requirements

  • GPA 3.0 or higher
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other technical degree.
  • Previous Internship or Co-op Experience
  • Leadership/involvement on campus or in the community.
  • Strong people skills, able to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% when required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in projects that significantly drive the business productivity and profitability.
  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving.
  • Lead and participate in Process Failure Mode and Affect Analysis (PFMEA) and dimensional engineering strategies.
  • Create quality documents, lead product and process qualification, and complete audit processes.
  • Gather and analyze data through statistical techniques while using computer software tools, such as Excel or Minitab, to analyze data to detect trends and abnormalities.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans and work instructions.
  • Perform and analyze fabrication and assembly equipment process capability studies and developing process validation plans and documenting results.
