About The Position

Big Country Equipment is seeking experienced individuals for their field-based, rotational teams. These roles typically operate on a 2x2 schedule (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off). The company serves the mining, construction, forestry, and oil and gas sectors across Western Canada, providing maintenance and repair services. They are looking for skilled tradespeople, labourers, and fuel and lube operators. While they only hire journeymen for skilled trades, apprentices are encouraged to apply. Requirements

  • Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide a clean 5-year history driver's abstract (minor infractions are fine).
  • Pass a Criminal Record check.
  • Pass an 8-panel drug test (including marijuana) and an alcohol breath test.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Physically fit for heavy lifting and physically demanding work.
  • Not seeking sub-contractor roles.
  • Experienced individuals for field-based, rotational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair services for heavy equipment in various sectors.
  • Work on a rotational schedule, typically 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
  • Operate on a rotation of days and nights for tradespeople, labourers, and fuel and lube operators.
  • Submit applications through the general application portal.
  • Complete a qualifying form after applying.
  • Upload a resume and potentially additional documents like a driver's abstract, driver's license, and trade certificates.
