About The Position

Large Rotating Equipment Specialist is responsible for installing, trouble shooting, repairing and maintaining our centrifugal, reciprocating, piston, diaphragm, and screw compressors along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic trouble shooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.

Requirements

  • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with co-workers, internal and external customers.
  • Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
  • Able to research complex technical problem and find solutions.
  • Performs tasks requiring analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic vibration troubleshooting
  • Pro-active with a "can do" attitude and an ability to find solutions within a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma required
  • Must pass background check and drug test.
  • Must sign NDA.

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable technical degree
  • 5 years’ production management experience
  • 10 years’ operation, maintenance, or instrumentation experience in ASU production or similar industrial manufacturing field.
  • Industry related vocational certifications

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance on equipment for pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations and repairs of compressed gas systems including “hands-on” work to assure equipment operates to the plants requirement.
  • Provides assistance and training to Plant Technician and serve as technical support for Plants, Regional, and Zone Managers.
  • Conduct safety assessments of a continuously changing working environment and facilitate Pre - Job Safety meetings to communicate risks, address support requests and make key decisions.
  • Identify solutions, system improvements, and improved methods and techniques.
  • Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Managers, Field Operations Managers, and TAR Coordinator to define and plan scope, order and gather parts / supplies, and complete installations or repairs.
  • Manage suppliers to meet Matheson best practices, procedures, and policies.
