About The Position

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Rotary Die Cut Assistant to support its manufacturing operation. The role works as part of a team to increase productivity and reduce downtime and waste, while helping ensure products meet quality requirements and the workplace remains safe. The position is for the second shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work closely with other production personnel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency to reduce machine downtime.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacturing team in increasing productivity and decreasing downtime and waste.
• Lead the machine crew during setups and changeovers, including mounting printing plates and/or cutting dies.
• Conduct quality checks to verify products meet required dimensions and have no material defects.
• Follow company safety rules and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Troubleshoot machine issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
