About The Position

Acuren is currently recruiting for an Rope Access RT Level II Technician with Trainer Status Technician. This role involves setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods, and establishing techniques for proper examination while adhering to safety regulations. The technician will apply testing criteria, evaluate results, interpret various NDT readouts, and organize/report test findings. They may also perform specialized inspections and instruct/supervise others, along with other job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

RT State Card with trainer status required.
RT Level II Certification required
SPRAT/IRATA Certification required.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Level II
Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Knowledge of NDT equipment
Experience in report writing

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
May instruct and supervise others
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
