About The Position

The Rooms Leader in Development (LID) program is a 12-month development experience designed to prepare graduates for successful management careers within the Rooms Division. The LID works 40 hours each week in departmental operations and dedicates an additional 10 hours to structured Learning Commitments at the training property. These project-based commitments build knowledge of overall hotel operations and the specific functions of the Rooms Division, with defined resources and evaluation criteria for each assignment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher required; Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in Housekeeping, Rooms Division, hotel operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work 50 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
  • Willingness to relocate upon completion of the program to support timely promotion into a management roel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and projects a sincere, helpful, caring and friendly approach to guest service.
  • Consistently demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
  • Maintains high standards for accuracy, organizations, order and cleanliness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with a dynamic work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Help oversee associate performance, provide timely coaching, and take appropriate corrective action when necessary.
  • Assist with associate scheduling to support business needs and service standards
  • Participate in interviewing, selection, onboarding, and ongoing training of associates.
  • Follow up on established training steps and reinforce consistent execution of departmental standards
  • Clean and inspect guest rooms as part of the operational training experience.
  • Monitor product and supply inventory, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Ensure Housekeeping and Front Office operations are performed in accordance with Omni Hotels & Resorts standards
  • Maintain accurate payroll records to support timely and correct associate pay.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, comments, and complaints
  • Follow through on service recovery opportunities and help ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Engage with guests to gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.
  • Meet weekly with the Division Head, monthly with the Director of Human Resources, and every other month with the corporate mentor.
  • Complete assigned Learning Commitments and demonstrate progress against established evaluation criteria
