About The Position

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Room Service Server for the Hilton in Harrisburg, PA. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver and serve food and/or beverage items to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. This role involves setting up and clearing trays, handling orders from the kitchen or bar, and processing payments, all while adhering to health and safety standards and corporate liquor regulations.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, serviceware and menu items.
Ability to read, speak and write the English language in order to communicate with guests.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. on a continuous basis.
Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.
Previous food service experience.
Food service sanitation certification.
Alcohol server permit (if required).
Meet minimum age requirements for jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

Set up room service trays and tables in anticipation of incoming orders.
Retrieve check from order taker, set table and pick up order from the kitchen or bar.
Be certain that order is complete, including all food, beverages, alcoholic beverages, and all condiments.
Carry trays up to 30 lbs. or push wheeled carts to deliver room service orders to guests in a friendly and courteous manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
After set up, present check and obtain payment.
Deliver payment/signed check to order taker for closing.
Remove trays and tables from guest floors and returning them to designated locations.
Prepare complimentary fruit baskets and deliver to guest rooms.
Attend mandatory meetings.
Set up room service trays and tables.
Deliver room service orders in a professional manner.
Perform all assigned sidework such as replenishing condiments and restocking sidestands.
Abide by all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Assimilate into the Hilton Family PRIDE/CARE culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of PRIDE/CARE.
Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
