About The Position

Nemacolin is seeking a talented candidate to fulfill the responsibilities of the Room Service Server role. The ideal candidate must be able to deliver meals to guests according to rules of etiquette, while working in a formal setting to create a restaurant experience within guest rooms, condos and private homes on property. They are responsible for answering questions referring to food preparation and ingredients, while maintaining familiarity with food and wine pairings according to Nemacolin's In Room Dining Menu.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest service role
  • Friendly and out-going personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time, use stairs if necessary
  • Valid driver’s license & comfortable driving a company vehicle responsibly adhering to state driving regulations.
  • Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of hospitality industry helpful

Responsibilities

  • Maintain & adhere to all resort service standards & expectations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & having an keen eye for detail, including but not limited to mise en place, table setups, checklists
  • Working & communicating as part of a cohesive team
  • POS – point of sales – knowledge
  • Basic computer (pc) knowledge & usage
  • Obtain & maintain a RAMP certificate through the state of PA
  • Maintain & care for department assets, including but not limited to serviceware, tables, room service vehicle.
  • Adhere to SOS – sequence of service – for an in room dining experience, meeting all standards.
  • Stay up to date on menu knowledge & allergy awareness.
  • Assists with guest requests from guest profiles in our RMS – sevenrooms/Host, including but not limited to contact information, preferences, information to create real life magic (anniversaries, birthdays, personal preferences, etc).
  • Excellent communication skills, with proper phone etiquette
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & maintain collective & genuine in high volume situations.
  • Adheres to SOPs, including but not limited to phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing & attendance, guest interactions.
  • Maintaining a luxury mini bar amenity, including a variety of high-end retail food & beverage items.
  • Adhere to cash handling & proper tender transactions.
  • Knowledge of menus for all food & beverage operations, in additional to general & accurate resort information
  • Other job duties as assigned.
