This is a primarily a second shift position. Hours of operation 7-7 (serving patients) Every other holiday is required, and rotating holidays. The Room Service Cook is responsible for preparing food on the daily production report according to established guidelines, maintaining time and production records, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of inventories. They will measure and mix ingredients, use kitchen utensils and equipment to prepare various food items, and bake, roast, broil, and steam food. The role also involves garnishing, displaying, and serving food items, monitoring food temperatures, and adhering to safe food handling, storage, and sanitation standards. Additionally, the cook must monitor portioning, control food waste, and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care.
