About The Position
A Room Service Attendant is responsible for accurately delivering meals to the patient. They are responsible for returning trays to the kitchen after meal periods. A Room Service Attendant may assist in preparation, service and cleaning required for the patient tray line and the cafeteria food service.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Must interact in a positive and friendly manner with patients, residents, visitors, coworkers and other staff.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service experience in a hospital or extended care facility is desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
- Accurately deliver meals to patients.
- Return trays to the kitchen after meal periods.
- Assist in preparation, service, and cleaning for the patient tray line and cafeteria food service.
- Realize the importance of prompt and accurate meal service to patients.
- Realize the importance of proper food preparation according to given recipes.
- Be concerned for cleanliness.
- Observe routine work schedules.
- Follow System and departmental operating procedures.
- Carry through to completion assigned and planned tasks.
- Exercise initiative and sound judgment in performing daily and assigned work.
- Prioritize and correct problems as needed.
- Interact in a positive and friendly manner with patients, residents, visitors, coworkers, and other staff.
