About The Position

A Room Service Attendant is responsible for accurately delivering meals to the patient. They are responsible for returning trays to the kitchen after meal periods. A Room Service Attendant may assist in preparation, service and cleaning required for the patient tray line and the cafeteria food service.

Requirements

• Must realize the importance of prompt and accurate meal service to the patients.
• Must realize the importance of proper food preparation according to given recipes, be concerned for cleanliness, observe routine work schedules and follow the System and departmental operating procedures.
• Must be able to carry through to completion assigned and planned tasks.
• Must exercise initiative and also have the ability to exercise sound judgment performing daily and assigned work.
• Must have the ability to prioritize and correct problems, as needed.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• HS diploma is desirable but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food service experience in a hospital or extended care facility is desirable but not required.
