About The Position

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces as required. This includes tasks such as flipping/inspecting mattresses and box springs, assembling bed frames, vacuuming, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, and ensuring all necessary hardware and appliances are present and in working order. The role also involves replacing light fixtures, and inspecting and repairing grout and caulking. Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms in accordance with property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines. Perform miscellaneous minor repairs like tightening toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Conduct general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces including tubs, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training. Adhere to all company policies, ensure professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to standards, anticipate and address service needs, and develop positive working relationships. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform physical tasks including reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving/lifting objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, and assisting with objects over 50 pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Less than 1 year related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
  • None required license or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms according to property procedures and guidelines.
