About The Position
At the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler our In Room Dining team plays a vital role in creating thoughtful, memorable guest experiences. As a Full Time In Room Dining Server, you’ll join a collaborative team that prepares and executes in room dining service with consistency, attention to detail and care. Your role is to prepare and deliver orders from guests and work collectively to provide a seamless in-room dining experience. The role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, has a high level of detail and has dedication to serving our guests. You’ll be part of a team that balances high service volume with a strong commitment to execute quality and consistency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for all aspects of food and beverage.
- Proficient command of the English language.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, coupled with a dedication to customer service.
- Possession of the Serving it Right Certificate.
- Valid work authorization for Canada
Nice To Haves
- Preferred background in Hospitality Education.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders to guest rooms, ensuring special needs or requests are met; verify completed kitchen orders with the order taker or the guest's original order, and transport items promptly for optimal food quality.
- Greet guests, provide engaging descriptions of selected menu items including their origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for tray and dishware removal, and respond to requests within established time standards.
- Break down, clean, and set up room service tables, condiment setups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
- Anticipate guest needs, assess satisfaction, offer suggestions, and promptly address concerns and requests.
- Close guest checks accurately, securing room numbers and signatures; handle voided checks or complimentary meals appropriately.
- Adhere to Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Foster a harmonious and professional work environment, collaborating effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
